The Grist

Teens are spending less time together and more time online, which has led to an uptick of teen anxiety, loneliness, and depression. Puberty is notoriously an age where self-esteem can decline, particularly for girls. The internal and external pressures our teen girls feel is real, such as academic performace, appearance, popularity, and relationships.

Huddle seeks to restore connection by providing a space for girls to share, feel supported, and hear other perspectives that help them to shape their identities. Each in-person workshop series lasts five weeks, enabling girls to build trust with one another. Huddle fosters community for girls at an age when friendships and relationships can support their long-term mental health and academic performance. Huddle is not therapy, but it can be therapeutic.
